WOYWW #248

Hello and welcome, fellow workdesk wanderers.

We are, as ever, hosted by the amazing Ms Dunnit over at The Stamping Ground - do go there to find out how to play along.

I'm in a bit of a creative slump at the moment, so although there is a lot of stuff on my desk there isn't really much action, but here it is anyway...

I'm working on my March Calendar Girl - a Spring themed tag - not going brilliantly at the moment - but I shall persevere. Hope your desk is more inspiring than mine - let me know you came and I'll pop over later.

  1. When I get in a slump, I make flowers. My problem right now is I don't have time for all the things I want to do!

  3. I spotted one of my favorite doll stamps there! Love her! I see you are a user of the rolls of double sided tape too, I have a lot of the papers on my desk currently! Can't wait to see the finished piece! Winnie#65

  4. Hi Maisie,
Thanks for stopping by this week.

I see a lot of possibilities for your tag. I also love the Prima doll stamps

The cleaning and sorting, of Betsy, has helped my creative slump. I've found so many prints that I had forgotten about. I'm sure when I get to the "meat" of cleaning there will be MORE of that list of forgotten things. Yes, it does feel good to purge some of this old stuff. It is kind of "mind cleaning too" LOL

  5. Look at those pretty papers...now if they don't say Springtime, then I don't know what would! Those hearts in the background..are they appliqued onto something? They're very pretty, anyway!
And yes, my hubby would say that I'm 80% Nanny Ogg now....got the boots, scumble, cat etc but thankfully more teeth and fewer wrinkles :-)

  7. We all get in those slumps, and we seem to get them at the most inconvenient times. I find cleaning and rearranging things sometimes helps, while other times, just looking through craft books does the trick. I'm sure you'll be over this slump soon. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  9. I hate it when Mr Mojo decides to pack up and run away from home too. Seems to happen on a regular basis- pesky little tyke! Like Elizabeth, I go into sort & organise mode, that usually does the trick.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #41 xx

  10. I see many things that inspire me! What your mojo needs is to not look at the desk for a few days. When you go back, your mojo will be there waiting!

  12. Thank you for visiting me already!
I see lots of bright yellow paper on your desk and one of those lovely prima stamp girls, like those!
Often leave your desk do something else works and mojo comes back or look through crafty blogs, mags, etc for inspiration..... Could you use bits of lots of those yellow paper on the tag background ... Patchwork, ripped and glued, punched etc etc and just work on the background of your tag, or make flowers to add onto the tag etc etc ... Just thoughts, my head bursts with stuff!!!!!

  13. I clean my house when I get stuck or am in a slump. I did notice some beautiful colored papers on your desk.

  14. Best thing to do in a creative slump is to have a tidy I find. Know what you mean about the tears and all, I've been grounded for a couple of days with "the flood", I call it my "Noah" monthly and there I was thinking the rainbow had finally come - more fool me. BJ#67

  18. Hi Maisie! Thanks for stopping and leaving all of your great suggestions about journaling. I will have to check out the online videos. I also had to purchase one of those wonderful doll stamps you have been using. My March Tim Tag project is almost finished, but then I had to stop and get paperwork done for the Tax Man. To get me through that and the endless winter I have started watching 'Downton Abbey'. Now I just want to crawl under a cozy throw and pretend they are my family. :) Spring can not come too soon!!
I imagine your next post will be filled with the wonderful things made from what we see here. You never disappoint with how you pull it all together. Hugs, Cathy
