Hello happy blog hoppers and a warm welcome to you and also to my new followers. Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments.
If you're visiting for the first time and are wondering what WOYWW is all about visit Julia's blog to find out more and join in the fun - try it - you'll be hooked!
This week I am big on multi tasking as I am working on three projects at once - my Art Journal page which you could see the makings of in my WOYWW 192 post, my Art Journaling class homework task (a spring themed page - hmmm - needs more work) and my submission for Sunday Stampers (of course) which I am also going to submit for the Craft Barn's Alpha / Dictionary Challenge - yet another challenge I am late starting!!!
Anyway - here's my desk - and I admit I did have a quick tidy up for two reasons
- It was awash with scrap paper I had been using to protect everything from the over spray from my Dylusions inks
- I had lost my tiny harlequin stamp UH OH - and as you'll know if you've been following my blog recently - I don't seem to be able to complete a project without using it!
And this is my "pens n tools" end of the desk
I remembered to do some close-ups this week. Here's my Dictionary Challenge/Sunday Stampers piece in progress...
And here is my finished journal page...
Credits for the digital collage elements are as follows:
Sun, border and birds - Nancy Baumiller (Crowabout StudioB) Love the World: Sun, Border3, Bird2
Girl - Nancy Baumiller (Crowabout StudioB) Joyous Journey: Woman Dancing all from Deviant Scrap.com
Leaf stamps are Dyan Reaveley Further Around the Edge, Inks are Dylusions spray inks
Song Lyrics are Green Garden by Laura Mvula - the deep green and blue colours in the background made me think of the serenity of a shady garden and the lyrics seemed to fit with the solace I find in my own garden.
Got to dash now - will post my link and then blog hop later... see you soon and thanks for dropping by.
Wow Maisie, Your work is wonderful - I have just started doing a few journal pages and really appreciate now what goes into the creation. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteIt is good to see someone else who has several things on the go at once! I love your journal pages and the dictionary pages are such a clever idea for Sunday Stampers too - and very original. Happy Woyww and thanks for your visit. Anne x #37
ReplyDeleteHi Maisie, love the shot of all your 'pens n tools' pots - they look lovely in the light from your window. And your journal pages are beautiful - love the background. The dictionary pages are quite different - look forward to seeing the completed project. Many thanks for popping by and for your suggestion to alter the Country Diary ... the illustrations inside are beautiful so I will have to think about it. Hope you had a happy WOYWW. Elizabeth x #58

Not sure what's going on had to open the comment box in a new window (!?!). Anyhoo, just wanted to say this is a lovely project, love the colours and main image. I totally feel for you tidying up to find your little stamp - I think I have thrown a couple out over the years by getting the desk in too muchj of a mess and it's always the ones you love!! Hope you had a good Wednesday, Cindy #68
ReplyDeleteI love your altered book pages! I can't wait to see more! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteWOW Maisie! You have been a busy beaver! Love all your projects! Can't wait to see your lace flower tutorial. I have been so tired after getting home, I end up doing my crafts in spurts. As soon as I figure out that dern laced up basket, I will be doing a tutorial on it...but this time, with cut files attached, so you won't have to buy anything...that is, if you have a electronic die cutter...after my hunt for the dern die! ha! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on finishing your journal

Hello Maisie, thanks for visiting my blog and your nice comment about my rainbow books.
ReplyDeleteGlad I came to see what goes on here - what lovely work you've been doing. I do like the art journal page - the colours are fabulous and the little garden quotation is sweet. Longing for Spring, so I can go out into the garden!
The "pens end" of your desk is great - I'd like to come and make stuff at your desk!
You have an exciting and busy desk, Maisie!! I'm sadly one of those people who single-task, so I am impressed at your ability to keep three wonderful works in the air at one time!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm late finishing up my WOYWW visits. Have a great rest of the week! Darnell #48
