Hello again and welcome to another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - the last one in January! - Can you believe how quickly time is flying by?
If you're visiting from
The Stamping Ground you know all about what's going on here today, and if not - you need to head on over there and find out - YOU'RE MISSING OUT!
My workdesk is a little bit tidier than last weeks (and for those of you who visited - YES! - I did tidy up the wardrobe too (but the difference between the before and after photos is so minimal I haven't bothered to upload the after one - I think I need some reasonably priced Swedish shelving to sort the problem out once and for all!))
So here's my desk - mid project again! My Mojo is in full swing :0)
What can we see?
I've taken the photo from the back corner of my desk for a change of perspective. In the foreground you can see a pile of 12x12 patterned papers from which I have selected the most boring, plain, mid blue sheet I possess - it must have been in a stack - otherwise I can't work out what "possessed" me to buy it!
To the right of that is a little pile of goodies - an Amy Tangerine 6x6 paper stack, some Kaisercraft cardstock embellies and a gorgeous little Tim Holtz stamp (an early Easter present - along with some TH Distress PAINTS! from my lovely Mum and Dad - THANK YOU!)
Working round to the right are the freebie stamps and diary from this month's Creativity magazine which I got for £3.50 at a local craft shop (I wasn't prepared to pay the cover price (I didn't really want the diary) and hope that Creativity aren't putting up the price on a permanent basis.) In the middle of the table is a storage box which houses all my mini pigment ink pads.
On the cutting mat is my WIP (work in progress), which is my entry for The Craft Barn's latest challenge (details
here if you're interested), and on the left is my trusty Cuttlebug - I am in the middle of cutting out clouds.
So that's what's happening in Maisie's world - what's happening in yours? Let me know you came and I'll swing by and visit.
I like the new view of the desk! You can see round the back of things now...all those buckets of pens etc are fun. I'd quite like to come and furtle through all that!
ReplyDeleteDo you know, I have bought fabric before and then wondered why....I didn't like the pattern much but thought it would be useful then never touched it...I learned from that...if I love it, then I buy it!

I like the new view MM, your chair looks super comfy, I am obsessed by chairs right now, as we need new ones! I like the clouds you are cutting out too - is that your art journal? Cx #27
ReplyDeleteYour goodies are quite massive from this view! Love it! Isn't that funny how we dig out some of our papers and wonder why we bought them? I have so many like that, so I make envelopes out of them, and do scrappy things. I wondered what kind of die cut machine was sitting there, so it's a Cuttlebug! I have my Big Shot, and I wonder how I lived without a die cut machine. Yes, my cold drags on, but I don't seem to be coughing as much today--that's good. Thanks for your sweet visit. Happy WOYWW! ReplyDeleteFor a moment I thought you were going to show us a photo of the cupboard again from last week!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like making envelopes from the paper is a great idea

I know what you mean about 'what possessed me to buy that!' lol.Like you I have paper that must have been in pads, I'm pretty sure I'd never have it otherwise, I hope:) Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #35 xx

ReplyDeleteim sorry, am on ipad and as usual, I cant get it to let me correct, edit or generally look anything but stupid! I wanted to say..how understanding of your parents!
ReplyDeleteLove all the goodness going on here. Happy Wednesday and have a good week. Peg R -13
ReplyDeleteNice to see a different view of the desk and to hear that your mojo is in full swing - mine is on the roundabout, here one minute, gone the next. I didn't even notice the price of the creativity mag but like you didn't bother with it when I saw the freebie was a diary - and if the price has gone up it will have to be a very good giveaway to tempt me!! I think we all have those 'what was I thinking' sheets of paper but there's usually something you can do with them (use the other side?). Thanks for the visit, hope you've had aq good day. Cindy x
ReplyDeleteI think I like this different view. More stuff to see and snoop through. Looking forward to seeing your finished project next week. Love all the papers...sometimes I wonder whatever caused me to decide to buy them also. Have a great week. Vickie aka Okienurse #111
ReplyDeleteYou've got some lovely things there, Maisie. I bet you find a use for that blue paper, try inking and spraying it, that's what I do with paper I don't like anymore!!
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about Creativity. I haven't bought it for awhile but couldn't believe the price. It stayed on the shelf!!
